Thank You Mr. Lavie: Day 32

February 1, 2010

Todays photo was inspired by a music video I saw last year. It is called Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie. It is completely done through stop motion photography which I find fascinating. I did a video last spring for an art class but it was a simple one of me putting together a 24 piece puzzle, very fun. This video is well put together and a lot of time and execution went into pulling this off. The link is at the bottom of the post. I used an umbrella to light this image and am getting pretty good at getting the ‘catchlight’ in my subjects eyes. Catchlight is the bright spots you see in my eyes that is necessary to make sure the eyes don’t look an evil black.

Day one of week five today. Someone pointed out in the advising office that by the end of Friday we will have finished half of the school year, scary thought. I also finished my Copenhagen application on Friday and moved on to what they call stage two of the application process. The new exec board came into our exec meeting for Alpha Kappa Psi tonight which means they are close to taking over. Also the new Peer Advisors start advising next week so my responsibilities are dwindling, going to have to find something to do next term…
